Antonio Siracusa

PASTORAL CARE ASSOCIATE

Antonio Siracusa has been serving as Glenview's Pastoral Care Associate since December 2022. Recently, he completed his Master of Divinity studies at Knox College and is now a Certified Candidate for Ordination. Antonio holds a Master of Pastoral Studies from Knox College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ryerson University, and a Diploma in Community Work from George Brown College. He has also completed four Clinical Pastoral Education Units, each focusing on hospital Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care.

Antonio frequently expresses his deep love for people and the Holy Trinity. He considers it a blessing, privilege, joy, and pleasure to address the pastoral care concerns of the Glenview community. He takes the practice of pastoral care seriously, emphasizing active listening, building therapeutic rapport, exhibiting a non-judgmental presence, incorporating humor, empathetic responses, asking facilitative questions, validating feelings, and advocating for clients when necessary.

One of Antonio’s favorite ways to express his praise for God is by exclaiming, “It is fun being a Christian!” He comes from a close-knit multicultural extended family, enjoys bringing people together, and strives to foster unity among God’s people and creation.

Outside of his pastoral duties, Antonio enjoys hobbies such as birdwatching, bird feeding, painting, and hiking (having completed the Camino de Santiago in 2014). His interests also include reading, researching, and cataloging.
