Senior Minister

Rev. Tobey Boyer began her ministry at Glenview in November 2023. Tobey is a life-long Presbyterian, and 3rd generation minister in her family. She worked as an RPN before serving as a Christian Education Coordinator in Barrie. She graduated from Knox College in Toronto in 2013, was called to a two-point charge north of Toronto and served there for 10 years. She is thrilled to become part of the Glenview congregation and to walk alongside them as they serve God through worship, fellowship, and caring for others. In her free time, she loves to travel and enjoys gardening, crafting, baking, and spending time with her family.

Director of music

Peter Merrick is our Director of Music, Organist, and Choir Director

Peter is an accomplished organist and conductor who works to ensure both the words and music of our worship speak God’s Word to us. He leads the choir in many kinds of music, from ancient to post-modern. A life-long learner, Peter is a Doctoral student at the Toronto School of Theology. In teaching he follows the Dalcroze method, which teaches musical concepts, often through movement.

PASTORAL CARE AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

Avery-Quinn MacGregor is our Coordinator of Pastoral Care and Community Engagement. She has worked in many churches throughout her life and has a passion and heart for community outreach and service. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier, she achieved a BA with a focus on Community Music and Global Studies. Avery-Quinn also brings a post-graduate certification in DEl and a past working partnership as SME with the WCT-WR (Women in Communications and Technology - Waterloo Chapter), where she co-authored the land acknowledgement and designed the DEl membership and Board survey.

Avery has had the good fortune of leading and supporting a variety of teams, including Leadership training at Ontario Pioneer Camp, Coordinating and supervising volunteer teams to provide a supper experience at Cornerstone in Regent Park. Avery's experience includes St. Paul's Anglican on Bloor Youth Worship team, YMAP -Youth Ministry Apprenticeship Program, Calvary Baptist Church Outreach Assistant, and Synod delegate for the Anglican Diocese of Canada.

Avery comes to us from St. Mary and St. Martha's Anglican Church as the Family Ministry Pastor and looks forward to the collaboration that joining the Glenview family brings.
