Glenview is A Registered Charity for the 2026 TCS Charity Challenge
Glenview Presbyterian Church has again been approved as an official Charity Partner for the 2026 Charity Challenge, part of the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon. At the Congregational Meeting we approved the official groups that we will be raising money for in our Special Fund. We have set a target of $25,000! I wanted to encourage people to sign up for the race if you plan to participate this year, as registrations are selling quickly. The Marathon and Half-Marathon are both already over 50% sold out.
The 5K run/walk will be happening on Saturday, October 17th, 2026 this year, with the longer distances taking place on Sunday, October 18th.
Last year we raised $17,717.79 for Evangel Hall Mission (which now includes Portland Place), ARISE, the Daily Bread Food Bank, Yorkminster Park Meals-On-Wheels, and the Anishnawbe Health Foundation. Thank you so much for helping to support these places of healing, hope and care. The people that benefit from these organizations, often feel invisible. Our donations let them know they are loved and not forgotten. Our race page is live, I encourage you to sign up.
You don't have to be an athlete to participate, you may run, or walk. It's a fun day, with amazing community spirit. Spots are predicted to sell out quickly this year, and Raceroster will not be holding any registrations for the Charity Challenge.
The sign-up link is below. If you know someone who would like to participate, but might find the registration fee difficult at this time, an anonymous donor has offered to "gift" some spots. Contact me if you would like more information. The more participation the better! Glenview's team is growing, so now is the time to join in!
Please use our unique referral link below, so that Glenview will get a $5.00 donation with your registration.
