Join us as we prepare for Easter and mark Holy Week.
This year, we will hold special services for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.
Sunday, April 9
Sunday, April 9
In our Services at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. we will reflect on the story of Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem, beginning the fateful week that ends with his crucifixion.
Come and follow Jesus' journey to the cross in words and music.
On Wednesday, April 12 at Noon and 7:30 p.m. we'll conclude our exploration of "The Last Week" of Jesus' life. We'll reflect on the meaning of all the events of Good Friday.
Come, even if you were unable to attend the other discussions.
"Maundy" comes from the Latin word, "mandatum", which means "commandment." On the night before Good Friday Jesus gave his disciples a New Commandment: "Love one another as I have loved you."
On Maundy Thursday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m. we'll gather and remember that commandment as Jesus illustrated it by offering the bread and the cup at the dinner table, and by washing his disciples' feet after the meal.
Our Good Friday Service at 10:30 a.m. will follow Jesus to Golgotha.
In story and music we will experience the power of Jesus' life and death for the salvation of the world.
Easter Sunday services will be held on April 16 at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.
We will celebrate the joyful news that Jesus is alive and living with us. Come and hear the story. Join in the triumphant hymns. Celebrate in music with our Choir and the Glenview Brass. Share with your family in Holy Communion.
Community Worship begins at 10:30 a.m.
Our Church School -- KidsView and ViewPoint Youth -- is at 10:30
A Nursery is available every Sunday.
We also offer a brief, informal service, called EarlyView, at 9:00 a.m.
